your VOTE.....

The filipinos can forgive but should never forget. Does the sins of thy father should be shouldered by the son? Its an old question that even the scriptures has delved in.
I am all about change- change for good. The intent should always be for the common good and not for the chosen few.

I will choose a leader who has the guts to face mediocrity for the intent of the peoples sake.
Grandstanding champions only that which is aimed to promote self-patronization.

However theres an end to this thought. A good statesman deserves to be elected to post. I will have one elected for just the sake of knowing he can make a change, whether or not what his family has done. But again I do not believe in the rusted adage that "the tree bores the same fruit"... People are not apples and oranges... Its a twisted wisdom one should not follow. Reason why we are still enthralled by "padrino" system just because one bores the name.

I am not my father and i will never be, same goes for politicos, they cast a different shadow and you should fear one who glides under his predecessors glory because his intent will never be for the people but for his own personal legacy. Let Us Do away with political dynasty.

We have yet to realize that this kind of thinking is the kind of subversive mentality reminiscent to that of western Monarchy. These elected leaders are not given "god-given right", a family name only goes as far as the name of the one who built it but the next in line do not necessarily carries the capacity the former has done - its very different. Loyalty to a family akin to kings/emperors/shogun/dukes & what-nots are just romanticizing the ideology of yore that spawns Cinderella, Snow white and other fairy tale stories.
In this day and age of pseudo-enlightenment, gastric freedom, liberty to information and empowerment of individual rights, being adherent, devotee, or as a self-made lackey to a person and not to a principle is just plain stupidity - and honestly - 70% of the populace is still on that level (quoting my professor of 1998)

There will be those who will try to break from that shadow and make a name for his own, for that fact that i will vote for a name- because of the legacy he is creating and nothing more.

This coming vote, let us put forth in our mind to aim for the countries sake and not for the pay youll get for the vote or because your idol/name/fan of the candidate. Its all in the realization that to look beyond the scheme of things - you must be outside of that scheme to know the truth of it.

As a quote say's [....at the foot you see the mountain, at the top you see the world].

We are all swallowed by the system, its not a torrent, just public and peer pressure that makes it look that way, but one just have to turn around, close your eyes, hear yourself.... then just say "i dont believe it".... then from there you 'll be looking at the truth you never truth existed.

The internet has a purpose- and is a powerful tool for that, use it to know who you are letting sit there.
Know his/her track record and no farther than that because that doesnt count.

Were on the verge of a paradigm shift, its understandable to experience such turmoil that occurs before everything settles down. All well developed society has undergone this change.

The key now will be this pivotal period, when our decision will dictate if we will be continuing the path to development or recede back to a paraphlegic case.
